Collection: 1870s Fabric Design

Characteristics of 1870s Textile Design was Rich Colors; Deep reds, blues, greens, and golds were commonly used to create luxurious, opulent fabrics and Intricate Patterns; Floral motifs, geometric shapes, and elaborate designs were popular, reflecting the Victorian love for detail and ornamentation.

1870s designs are a new chapter in my shop and Gertrud Staats is the first out.

The size and repetition of the pattern was smaller and most probably the engraved roller printing technique was used in the original fabric.
